New York’s Favorite Gluten-Free and Kosher Bakery Propels Growth With
New Location in Woodland Hills, LA
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 2022) – Modern Bread & Bagel, New York’s favorite gluten-free and kosher bakery and cafe that does not compromise on taste, is delighted to announce its west coast debut in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. Owner Orly Gottesman’s third new location brings a carefully considered menu inspired by some of her favorite foods from around the world—namely Sydney, Tel Aviv, and New York.
Guests can now enjoy mouth-watering, fast casual brunches, minus the gluten. House-smoked salmon and a variety of unique cream cheeses and dips complement their kettle-boiled Ancient Grain Bagels. Our all-day menu features creative brunch items including BYO and chef-curated fresh bagel sandwiches, a variety of avocado toasts, breakfast grilled cheese, craft salads and hearty bowls.
Modern Bread & Bagel does as much as possible in-house, hand squeezing their juice, blending their own teas, and baking all bakery items on-site daily. The bakery’s fresh bread offerings include vegan Focaccia, a dairy-free Rustic Bread Loaf, and a vegan Seeded Multigrain that can be topped with smashed avo, organic scrambled eggs, homemade hummus, and more. Their baristas craft a variety of artisan tea lattes and espresso drinks with coffee from Australian-style Grumpy Roasters in Brooklyn. Our pastries are made on-site and serve as the foundation for yummy dine-in dishes like our Coconut Challah French Toast with Coffee Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Coconut Custard.
Like many people with gluten allergies, Owner Orly Gottesman was fed up with settling for second best when she and her husband, living with celiac disease, wanted to indulge in bagels and baked goods. Modern Bread & Bagel removes the worry, FOMO, and frustration from dining out gluten-free.
“Everyone wants to do something in their lives that is meaningful,” said Gottesman. “The series of events that happened in my life, from meeting Josh to his celiac diagnosis to our travels around the world, culminated in this moment.” This announcement comes on the heels of the opening of their new Chelsea location in June.
Located at Woodland Hills at 6256 Topanga Canyon Blvd Unit #1200, the restaurant will be open to the public in September. All Modern Bread & Bagel locations will offer Modern @ Night for a more casual dining experience offering lower prices, both dine-in and to-go/delivery options, and of course, including the brand’s tasty gluten-free items.
