What is a gluten free diet?A gluten-free diet is a nutritional plan that strictly excludes gluten, which is a mixture of proteins found in wheat, as well as barley, rye, and oats. All of our bread and bakery items are baked with Blends by Orly Gluten Free Flour, which are proprietary blends of gluten free flour to fit different baking applications.

Are you Thyme & Tonic the same?We have the same owners and both restaurants are 100% gluten free. Thyme and Tonic is a full service restaurant and bar. The menu is Plant First, meaning all menu items come by default as plant based, but you can substitute any dish with grass fed beef or organic free range chicken. Thyme and Tonic is under a different Hashgacha, certified by Rabbi Mehlman from National Kosher Supervision. You can check out the website for more details! www.thymeandtonic.com

Do you have seating? The Upper West Side location has covered outdoor seating. Indoor tables are also available for customers to sit at during our Modern @ Night service, from 5pm-9:30pm. If you prefer to sit at a table inside between Modern’s full menu hours of 8am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, you can order your food and take it to eat at a table at Thyme and Tonic, our restaurant next door. -
A third-party delivery service cancelled my order. What should I do?Unfortunately, this is out of our hands. It likely means that we are out of something, something was not input correctly, or there was an issue with the delivery service. We recommend that you try again or order delivery from our website. Reach out to the third party delivery platform directly for customer service/delivery issues, and they should be able to help you.

Can I request modifications for my order online?Modifications that are not on the menu (like scooping a bagel) will not process in our system and we will unfortunately not be able to see them, so we may miss your request.

Can I rent out the space or have a special event on site? The Modern Bread & Bagel space can accommodate up to 40 guests inside and outside. The price for a buyout would depend on the night. If it's a Friday night shabbat dinner, it would be $99 per person for a five course dinner, not including tax or 20% tip. The price comes with basic wine (one bottle for every four people), but would be extra charge for more premium wines. If it's a weeknight, the price for a buyout would be a min spend of $4,000, not including tax or 20% tip. We also offer private party packages at Thyme and Tonic. You can CONTACT Thyme and Tonic for a quote.

I want to place a pre-order, but not all the items on your menu are available on your pre-order menu. What should I do?Our pre-orders are packed in the mornings, which is why we only have our bulk pastry and deli items availalbe on that menu. If you want to order a fresh breakfast sandwich or salad with your pre-order, we would suggest placing a seperate same day pick up order on https://www.toasttab.com/modern-bread-bagel/v3 for the same time as your pre-order. Both orders will be ready for you when you arrive!
-
How to you recommend storing the breads and bagels after they are delivered? There should have been heating instructions in the box. If they were not included, bagels and breads have a shelf life of 2-3 days at room temperature in sealed plastic bags. We recommend slicing and toasting before eating. For freezing, slice bread and store it in freezer safe Ziploc bags for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, remove slices from the freezer and toast. DO NOT refrigerate the breads, as it will dry them out. Enjoy
-
We’re interested in buying your products wholesale. How do we proceed? We are limiting new accounts due to the labor shortage for baker positions, but please reach out to us at support@modernbreadandbagel.com anyway and we will add you to our list :)

If you're traveling and need to change your address or cancel and resubmit later before we pack and ship it, let us know at support@tastebudconcepts.com and we will help you out!

I selected two day shipping. It has been two days and my order has not arrived yet!We send shipments in the order we have received them. Two day shipping means that we use two day service, so that from the time it ships until the time it gets to you, it only takes two days. But this does not mean that your order will get to you two days after your order is placed.
